Village life in and around Solihull Borough can offer a stack of pro’s. Ginger’s wings are spread wide and being based in Balsall Common has a certain appeal we can’t resist. It is a hive of activity; transport links with rail, airport and motorways make getting just about anywhere easy!
Local attractions such as the National Exhibition Centre (NEC), Touchwood Centre, Rico arena, Genting Arena and neighbouring villages are a short stones-throw away. Finally, the community on offer is truly second to none. I have never lived in a place that has so much to offer, community events such as festivals/fetes in the parks or film nights at the local village hall are just the start. With more community groups you can shake a stick at you won’t be lost for something new to start or putting the kids energy to good use!
The Riddings Hill development was designed to fit right around the high-street in the heart of the community with connecting parkland, foot paths and cleverly designed roads that integrate the new estate perfectly.
This weekend we have curated a variety of our homes that will let you get a taste of Balsall Common village life.
The benefits of this location
Firstly, schools! With Heart of England rating as Good and both Balsall Common Primary & Berkswell Primary rating as Outstanding in Ofstead reports. Nurseries aren’t to shabby either, in recent years Pathways & Holly Lane Nursery have been rated as both Good & Outstanding – check out local Facebook reviews that also boast great feedback from parents. Riddings falls into both Balsall Common & Berkswell catchment areas.
Location is another big hitter here, having the benefit to get in / out of the village via Hallmeadow Road without trawling through traffic is so handy. Equally, the estate is so well connected to the rest of the village, paths let you wander into the centre in minutes and the benefit of no through-traffic means the roads don’t get congested. In that respect Riddings is very quiet and extremely neighbourly.
What else is nearby? Balsall Common Medical Centre, Brickmakers Arms, Lavender Hall Fishery & Cafe, Lavender Hall Park… and a whole lot more!!
The Village Future
It’s no secret that as the desirability of this area and similar villages/towns nearby grows so will infrastructure. Currently we are starting to see the ground works for HS2 begin. You’ll have the benefit of a station down the road and a shortened journey to London.
The high street is also evolving and adapting. It seems to be a thing of the past where you’d walk to the local high street and buy fruit, veg, meat & flowers but time moves on and so will our high street. Already we now have an offering that consists of coffee shops, show rooms and express stores to name a few- everything you need to keep you going in-between bigger food shops or a nice place to refresh yourself on a village walk!
All information about up and coming village projects are made available from our dedicated residents association team.
