Should you purchase/ sell a property through GInger then your information is retained on our files for 5 years to meet our requirements for anti-money laundering purposes with HMRC. You are entitled to have your personal information removed from our records by contacting our agency at any time.

HMRC Anti-money laundering
Ginger are legally obligated to carry out anti-money laundering checks on all our vendor clients and purchasers. Therefore we request and are entitled to see sight of formal ID and proof of address. We use ETSOS software to acrry out these checks which are supported by Equifax. This is a soft search and we are advised does not effect your credit rating. Your information is then stored with ETSOS and not with ginger. We do not retain any of your ID on our premises. We will not agree any sale should this not be completed or indeed any information withheld.
In some circumstances we may request to see proof of funding from you prior to arranging a viewing of any of our properties. Should you not have this information then you should take advise from your financial advisor when obtaining such proof.
